Alice is the youngest of our Njabini family. With a vibrant personality, and wisdom beyond years, Alice has been a driving force in our success. As a skilled tailor, Alice has passed along her skills to the other mothers through months of training and patience. Alice has one son, and dreams of growing her tailoring business.

Martha is more likely to speak of her 5 children than of herself. Her warm and humble nature, love of family, and strength of will are a testament to the women of Njabini. A woman of few words, her actions carry. Martha dreams of setting up her own store, selling seeds, fertilizer, and other farming necessities to help her community thrive.



Jane Mutota

Jane began working at Njabini, Inc. in July, 2012. Jane works to support her husband and three teenage children. With a quiet but determined demeanor, Jane is ready to do anything it takes to ensure her children's success.



Mary Njeri

Mary is a wealth of knowledge. From parenting to farming, Mary is a mentor to those around her. Mary and her husband have six children. They not only benefit from her excellent cooking, but her love and unstoppable work ethic.

Jane is the heart and soul of Njabini, Inc. Since our humble beginnings in early 2011, Jane has shared her artistic talents with all of our mothers, driving the success of many of the products we now offer. Despite her own tragedies and struggles, Jane works hard to take care of her father and mentally disabled brother. She has even begun a program of her own, teaching women how to knit to generate profits for their own families.

Beth's dreams live in the scarves she knits. Ever since she was a little girl, Beth tells us that all of her artistic inspirations start with her dreams. A single mother of 3, she works to make their dreams a reality as well. Full of mirth and laughter, she keeps all of the mothers happy through thick and thin.



Lucy Wanjiku

Lucy is the voice of Njabini, Inc. A ready translator when women come to the workshop, Lucy helps us tell the world about the strength of these incredible mothers. Lucy is the mother of eight, with eleven grandchilren, and works hard to ensure their bright futures. Despite losing her home, her family, and her youngest son in 2008, Lucy's strength and will drove her to keep moving forward, and inspired the creation of Njabini, Inc.

Mary's creativity is the force behind our fun new products and colors. Always the funniest person in the room, she makes the rainy season a lot less dreary. Mary works to support her 5 children, so they can turn their dreams into reality. Mary is currently transitioning to be the manager of our Njabini workshop operations as well!
